Why we must learn to cope with change at work

I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming book, Working Title: Thriving in Change, due out in the next few months.

If you’re struggling with organisational change and finding it increasingly hard to cope with the relentless pace of change in your workplace, then this book is for you. If you are managing reasonably well at the moment, but are anxious that your resilience is being worn away, then you’ll find this book to be immensely insightful as well.

Why Is Learning to Cope With Change At Work Important?

The truth is that for most of us who work in organisations and businesses, change is something we simply have to get used to. The pace of organisational change is accelerating as we adjust to new technology, new processes, new clients, new markets and new funding sources. Businesses restructure regularly to keep pace with the demands placed upon them, and for employees, it can often feel like the changes are never ending and more disruptive every time. We feel uncertain and often incompetent as we struggle to make sense of the changes and cope with the loss of security, belonging, control, routine, relationships, and resources.

How Can This Book Help Me?

Thriving in Change will help you to learn more about change, our natural and common reactions to it, and why change can actually be a good thing.  We’ll explore opportunities in change as you learn techniques and strategies to see the bright side of change, and you’ll learn how to train yourself to look at change through a new lens. In other words, you’ll stop simply surviving change and instead begin to thrive in change.

What Else Can I Expect?

In many ways, this book will serve as a laser-focused, VIP, high-level coaching session with me. You’ll come to understand the process of change and transitions as we unpack the emotions of change and the drivers of our behaviour during change. You’ll also learn emotional intelligence skills to move through transitions effectively. Additionally, you’ll build resilience through the ‘4 keys to resilience’ and be empowered with techniques for becoming more resilient to change and transition.

How Will This Benefit Me?

By implementing the strategies I show you in this book, you will be able to

  • Reshape your perspectives to better handle change.
  • Transform internal chaos into motivational inspiration.
  • Embrace new changes and challenges, and use them to your advantage.
  • Stop resisting change and flow with grace and ease.
  • INSTANTLY adopt new perspectives that give you the upper-hand in any situation.

You’ll essentially be armed and equipped with everything you need to face change fearlessly and preserve your peace of mind!

Needless to say, this will be one power-packed read that anyone in organisations and businesses can benefit immensely from, and I’m greatly looking forward to sharing it with you.

Over the next couple of months, I will be providing ‘sneak peeks’ of Thriving in Change along with exclusive content that will help you better handle change in your own life. We’ll discuss the different types of change, our many reactions to it, how change impacts people in different ways, how change can affect company culture, the characteristics of resilient people, and more! Stay tuned!

Sharing is caring!
